Kari is the case manager and a substance use disorder counselor at Siyan Clinical Research. As the case manager for Project Hope, Kari is responsible for completing comprehensive needs assessments for our patients, treatment planning, and providing intensive case management sessions to link patients to social and healthcare services. Kari’s position will help MAT patients surmount access barriers and any crises or problems they experience, which impact sustained recovery.

She was previously a substance use counselor in Washington State for three years, where she worked with clients who had an array of different substance use disorder diagnoses. Kari has provided several services including group, individual and family counseling; assessments and intakes; referrals to outside resources; and criminal justice system. She also has experience working with clients who are using Medicated Assisted Treatment.

Kari received her undergraduate degree from Central Washington University in Public Health and a Masters in Addiction Counseling from Grand Canyon University and in late 2018, moved from Washington State to California.
